Animation & Apocalypse

At Video Cafe no6 we celebrated the best of new wave UK animation including Piet Kroon's magnificent 20s murder mystery "Transit" and showed the unedited 63 minute version of "Watch the KLF burn a MIllion Quid" by regular Film Festival contributor Gimpo.

Watch The KLF Burn A Million Quid 16mm version with live commentary from Gimpo of K2 Plant Hire. Plus highlights from animation sections of Portobello Film and Video Festival including Piet Kroon's masterful Transit and work by top local animators.

Featuring global funk from Karite Ovo fronted by Yebga Likoba on sax; the amazing Akwaaba Drum Orchestra; musical comedy with Den on Double Bass, and Mark Bowden; live painting from Eric; slam poets, and DJs Debbie (Gaia Live Radio) and Tina.
