Special work created for the Portobello Film Festival
In the heady days of the mid to late 80s when Warhol collaborated with
Basquiat and Keith Haring's Magic Babies sprang up everywhere and suddenly
Graitti was embraced by the fine art world, Parisian kings of the new
art crop were Les Freres Ripoulin.
Working in the revolutionary context of affichage, or postering, the
Ripoulin were six boys and one girl who painted giant pictures, usually
on the floor.
